WINDEY Energy Storage Equipment Production Base 5GWh Project Officially Kicks Off in Handan, Hebei Province
On January 16, the WINDEY Energy Storage Equipment Production Base 5GWh Project officially started construction in the Jinan New Area of Handan, Hebei Province. And the groundbreaking ceremony took place in the presence of Li Xuejun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Handan Municipal Committee and executive deputy mayor of Handan City, and Cheng Chenguang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of WINDEY.
The project is located in the WINDEY Renewable Energy Zero-carbon High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, Handan. In light of the project planning, there will be two production lines for lithium-ion battery module and PACK, and two production lines for integrated energy storage containers, with auxiliary facilities including module & PACK product testing and storage area, and office & supporting premises etc. Herein, the planned lithium battery manufacturing production line, which will be equipped with high-end automatic assembling equipment, is capable of manufacturing 5GWh of high-end energy storage equipment per year. And it covers the whole process of PQC inspection and MES production information system management for the manufacturing of lithium iron phosphate battery PACK and the integrated assembling of energy storage battery system. The project is expected to be completed and put into production within 2025.
Li Xuejun said that the WINDEY Energy Storage Equipment Production Base 5GWh Project lays a solid foundation for further promoting the establishment of a green, low-carbon and circular economy in the local area. He hoped that both sides could keep deepening cooperation, promote the clustered and chained development of the new energy industry, focus on building an ecological system for the new energy industry, jointly boost the innovative development of the new energy industry, and make positive contributions to the fulfillment of the “Carbon Peaking, Carbon Neutrality” goals.
Cheng Chenguang expressed his gratitude to the CPC Handan Municipal Committee, the Handan Municipal Government and relevant departments of the Jinan New Area for their strong support to the project. After that, Cheng gave a detailed account of the project and WINDEY’s strategic plan. He said that this project is an important measure that was taken by WINDEY for responding to the national new energy development strategy and speeding up the exploitation of the energy storage industry. WINDEY will go all out to actively push ahead with the project construction, ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the project, and contribute "WINDEY Strength" to further developing the new energy industry belt in Handan, building a new energy industry cluster in the Jinan New Area, and jointly promoting the green transformation and upgrading of the regional economy.
The ceremony was attended by leaders from the Handan Municipal Government, departments directly under the municipal government, and the Jinan New Area.
